Project Manager

As an Project Manager at The Stereo Shoppe, you will be called on to bring your passion, drive and experience to present design solutions for the Audio Video consumer as well as provide ongoing relationships with the Sales and Installation teams. You will report to the Owners. The position requires an outgoing personality and you must be able to deal with adversity.


Installation Technician

Since 1976 The Stereo Shoppe is Idaho’s oldest and most trusted high-end audio/video integrator. We are looking to add another dynamic, highly motivated member to our field installation team. Applicants should have good knowledge of technology, troubleshooting skills, the ability to absorb the constantly changing environments in system installations.

Competencies:

  • Perform comprehensive audio-video installations for our clients, including new construction low voltage wiring, audio systems installation, equipment rack installations and control systems.
  • Proficient with computers
  • Strong understanding of Audio/Video systems and design
  • Must be organized
  • Strong work ethic with a dedication to learning and advancement
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand project drawings and schematics, engineering notes, and operation manuals
  • Able to lift 50 pounds frequently
  • Basic knowledge of network connectivity and methods
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills
  • Must be detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and handle deadlines and tight timeframes
  • Have a fundamental technical background with the ability to troubleshoot AV systems


Responsibilities:

  • Installation of projectors, flat panel displays, audio-video routing and processing equipment, control systems
  • Ability to work in attics and crawl spaces
  • Proficient use of hand tools, both manual and power and follow proper safety guidelines
  • Have your own set of hand tools
  • Be able to work 40 hours a week with some overtime and occasional overnight and weekend work
  • Control4 certified is desired but not a requirement
  • Perform site surveys of prospective jobs
  • Be able to design an audio/video system from notes taken on site surveys
  • Have strong understanding of audio/video technologies
